Well, I'll Tell You . . . |
|
Advice from an average girl By Kit Sheppard Q. Things aren’t going well in our relationship, and I’m pretty sure a break up is imminent. Who gets the dog? A. Well, I’ll tell you…This depends on several different things, try to keep the dog’s needs first. I’m sure you both love it, but don’t try to keep it out of spite. If you are in a 1 bedroom apartment, and your other half has a townhouse with a yard, let Rover have the yard. If your partner works crazy hours and is never home and you were the primary care provider because you were there more, then the pooch is probably better off with you. Discuss it calmly and rationally with your mate and try to keep what’s best for the dog at the forefront of the convo. Q. There’s a super-hot chick at work that I’ve been dying to ask out. We’ve had a few brief conversations, and she’s really funny; she likes sports and her current events don’t revolve around what Britney and Paris did last weekend. Thing is, she has a bit of a reputation around the office (let’s just say it’s no secret how many tattoos she has!). Before I found out that she got around, I was really interested. Is it a bad move? |

Kidding Around at Jeremiah Farm |
Written by Kristin Hackler An asparagus growing looks just like an asparagus on your plate. Maybe that’s ignorant of me to say, maybe everyone knows that asparagus looks just like it does at the grocery store when it’s growing out of the ground, but, urbanite city dweller that I am, I was quite surprised. “It looks like someone took an asparagus spear and stuck it in the ground,” I said to Casey Price, the owner of Jeremiah Farms whose vegetable patch I was standing in. She gave me an indulgent nod and, reaching down, snapped one off at the base and held it out to me. “Eat it,” she said, “I’ll bet you’ve never had an asparagus as good as this one.” Having never eaten an asparagus without it first being drenched in garlic butter and grilled, I was a little hesitant. “Aren’t they bitter?” I asked, but she just shook her head and gestured for me to take a bite; It was amazing. Sweet and crunchy, that first little nibble turned into two bites and the spear was gone. “How much for a bunch?” I asked and Casey just laughed. |

Written by Valerie Jones I am a huge fan of the first season of "16 and Pregnant" on MTV. The title really covers all of what this show is about. Well the creators of "16 and Pregnant" have put their heads together to provide an inside view of what teen moms go through with their day-to-day lives in the new show "Teen Mom" on MTV, Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. I think this is the best way to give a true outlook to the audience, on all of the real hardships these teens go through. This show proves to young America being a parent is not all fun and games. This show should be a calling card to any young teen girls who only wish to have a child to keep their boyfriends with them. In general, a relationship will not always work just because there is a child involved. I think it is safe to say for most teens, a baby can have the power to destroy an already shaky relationship. Any teen wanting to have a baby, or having un-protected sex, should have to watch these shows. "Teen Mom" takes you into the world of 4 young mothers. So far, in the couple of episodes I have viewed, I have a very good idea of what is going on . . . and what will probably happen. |
